Share your invitation link and get 5 GB of extra sync storage for each person who really starts using Filarr.

Invite people to Filarr and earn sync storage: 5 GB for each person who really starts using it. The extra space goes to you, the person who sends the invitation.

  1. Go to Settings → Account & Sync.
  2. In the Invite others section, click Create my invitation link.
  3. Click Copy, then send the link to the people you want to invite, by email or message.

Filarr creates the link only when you ask for it. After that, it stays the same: you can share it as many times as you like.

What the person you invite does

  1. They open your link. A page explains that their sign-up will be linked to the person who sent it.
  2. They create their Filarr account from that page, on the Filarr website, right away. If they close the page and come back later, or create their account in the app instead, the sign-up is not linked to you.

For now, this page is only available in French.

The link only works for a new account. Someone who already has an account can't be linked to you afterwards. The page doesn't tell them who invited them; they receive a contact request from you, which they can accept or decline.

When a person counts

The section shows how many of the people you invited count so far, for example "2 of 3 invited count so far (up to 3)". A person counts once all three conditions are met:

  • they confirmed their email address;
  • they used Filarr on their own computer, with the desktop app. It must be a computer that you and your other invitees don't use. An account used only in the web app doesn't count;
  • they actually synced something: at least 50 MB.

How much you can earn

  • You get 5 GB for each person who counts.
  • On the Free plan, up to 3 people count: with the 5 GB included, that makes up to 20 GB. On a paid plan, up to 10 people count.
  • The maximum follows your current plan. Once you reach it, Filarr tells you, and further invitations add no space.
  • If an organization manages your storage, it can cap what is applied. Filarr then shows what you earned and explains that your plan or your organisation caps it.

If someone deletes their account

Their 5 GB come off your storage. Filarr deletes nothing of yours. If you are then above your limit, you can't add more until you are back under it.
