1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using the Filarr software (the "Software") or by creating a cloud account, you agree to these terms of service (the "Terms"). If you do not accept them, do not use the Software.

2. Service description

Filarr is a desktop application (Windows, macOS, Linux) for file and note management with local encryption and optional cloud sync. The app is local-first: all encryption operations happen on your device.

  • Rich note editor (TipTap)
  • Graph view with physics simulation
  • Multi-profile with cryptographic isolation
  • Zero-knowledge encrypted cloud sync
  • Secure multi-device pairing (ECDH P-256)

3. Plans and billing

Free

  • All local features, without restriction
  • Cloud sync: 1 GB, 30-day trial
  • 1 connected device
  • After 30 days: cloud uploads are suspended. Existing data remains accessible for reading and downloading.

Solo — 4€/month or 38€/year

  • Cloud sync: 10 GB
  • Up to 3 devices
  • Secure multi-device pairing
  • Priority email support

Pro — 8€/month or 77€/year

  • Cloud sync: 50 GB
  • Unlimited devices
  • Priority support

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Prices are in euros, tax included. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled.

4. Refund policy

In accordance with EU withdrawal rights, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first purchase. Beyond this period, no refund will be granted. For requests: contact@filarr.com.

5. Limitation of liability — Zero-knowledge encryption

FR : Le chiffrement zero-knowledge signifie que Filarr ne peut pas accéder à vos données chiffrées. En cas de perte de votre mot de passe et de votre phrase de récupération, vos données sont définitivement inaccessibles. Filarr décline toute responsabilité pour la perte de données résultant d'un mot de passe oublié.

EN: Zero-knowledge encryption means Filarr cannot access your encrypted data. If you lose your password and your recovery phrase, your data is permanently inaccessible. Filarr disclaims all liability for data loss resulting from a forgotten password.

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Filarr does not guarantee:

  • Continuous availability of the cloud service
  • Recovery of encrypted data after password loss
  • Compatibility with all operating systems

6. Your data

Your files and data belong entirely to you. You can export them at any time from the app (vault export as ZIP).

7. Termination

  • You can delete your account at any time from the app (Settings > Delete my account).
  • Deletion is immediate and irreversible: account, devices, encrypted files, and Stripe subscription are all deleted.
  • Local files on your devices are not affected by cloud account deletion.

8. Intellectual property

Filarr’s source code is distributed under the AGPL-3.0 license. The "Filarr" trademark, logo, and visual identity remain the property of Mathis Belouar-Pruvot.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, the courts of Paris have jurisdiction, unless otherwise provided by applicable law in your country of residence.

10. Changes

We may modify these Terms. In case of substantial changes, we will notify users with a cloud account by email. The date at the top of this page will be updated.
