Linux: AppImage

If double-clicking doesn’t launch the app, install FUSE and make the file executable:

  1. 1sudo apt install libfuse2
  2. 2chmod +x Filarr.AppImage
  3. 3./Filarr.AppImage

Or right-click → Properties → Permissions → check “Allow executing file as program.”

macOS: Gatekeeper

macOS may show a warning that the app “can’t be opened.” This is normal for apps distributed outside the Mac App Store.

  1. 1Open System Settings → Privacy & Security
  2. 2Click “Open Anyway” next to the Filarr message
  3. 3Or right-click the app → Open → Open

This warning doesn’t mean the app is dangerous. It’s a standard macOS protection mechanism for apps not signed via the Mac App Store.
